I had a blast exploring Crater Lake National Park in Oregon!
The deep blue color of the lake took my breath away.

Fun facts about Crater Lake:
1. It’s the deepest lake in the United States
2. It’s one of the snowiest places in the United States
3. There are 2 islands in the lake- Wizard Island and Phantom Ship Island
4. The lake was formed by the collapse of a volcano. Mount Mazama, a 12,000-foot-tall volcano, erupted and collapsed approximately 7,700 years ago

5. Famous for its beautiful blue color, the lake’s water comes directly from snow or rain… there are no inlets from other water sources.
6. Klamath Indians called the lake Giiwas, and the entire area became a sacred place where members of many tribes went to pray, to mourn, to hunt and forage, to seek understanding and power.
